A La Mexicana Fashion For Easter

Colorful Huipil

Easter Sunday is here and I still don't have my outfit ready.  Then again, I don't have to look to far away as Mexican textiles have all those rich bright colors.  I just have to whip out the sewing machine and make me a huipil-like tunic and voila.  Okay, I have to get the some new fabric too but that another story.   Meanwhile, I looked on Pinterest for inspiration.  Here are some of the huipiles, a tote, a pair of boot and some sandals I found.

Check out this tote!  What a great way to re-fashion a huipil. Oh, I am falling in love again!  LOL

Embroidered Huipil Boho

I would love some blue boots too!  Then reality sets in, I'm more of a sandals and ballerina slippers type of gal.  Either one would look equally great.

Huaraches
OK, I got me some ideas going, now I off to hunt for some fabric.   How do you incorporate a Mexican-inspired fashion in your life?  Let us know on Facebook or Twitter.  Thanks!
