Green Leaf (Enameled)
You know that I love vibrant, saturated colors so I decided to take an copper enameling class.  Seven weeks I've been waking up early to make it to this class.  The class meets once a week so I try to have my metal cut and ready for the enamels.  Learning the basics may seem easy but it's not.  It's hard!

Day of the Dead Skull Pendent (WetPacking Technique)

But this week's class was just not going to yield any positive results.  I guess that is called learning curve.  I usually get a new technique and the fly into creativity.  Well, not this week.  For some reason, the copper I enameled this week kept cracking and giving me a headache.  For a moment I almost felt like enameling was not for me.  I gave it a day's rest and then began the tedious process of removing the enamel from six pieces of copper.

Cracked Enamel
I have two more pieces to clean and then I'll be ready to start all over again.  Hopefully, this time I'll get it right and don't have to repeat the lesson.  But if I have to do it all over again, I will. I'll do what ever it takes to get those rich, lively colors to work for me.
